Demonstration circuit 2142A is a high efficiency, high density, 4-phase synchronous buck converter with a 4.5V to 14V input range. It can supply 120A maximum load current at a 1.0V output. This demo board incorporates the LTC3875EUJ and LTC3874IUFD master/slave controllers.
DC2143A-A
Demonstration circuit 2143A-A is a high efficiency, high density, µModule® regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The demo board has two LTM4677 µModule regulators, and the LTM4677 is a dual 18A or single 36A step-down regulator with PMBus power system management. The demo board output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 1.8V, and it can supply 72A maximum load current. Please see LTM4677 data sheet for more detailed information.

Demonstration circuit 2143A-C is a high efficiency, high density, µModule regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 1.8V, and it can supply 144A maximum load current. The demo board has four LTM4677 µModule® regulators, and the LTM4677 is a dual 18A or single 36A step-down regulator with PMBus power system management. DC2147A
Demonstration circuit 2147A features the LTM4631, the high efficiency, high density, dual 10A, switch mode step-down µModule® power module regulator in an ultrathin 1.91mm height package. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V and the demo board provides 1.2V and 1V outputs at up to 10A maximum from each channel. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN , VOUT , and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE jumper (JP1) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 20A output solution with optional jumper resistors. The board allows the user to program how its output ramps up and down through the TRACK/SS pin. The output can be set up to either coincidentally or ratio-metrically track with another supply's output. Remote output voltage sensing is available for improved output voltage regulation at the load point. These features and the availability of the LTM4631 in a compact 16mm x 16mm x 1.91mm LGA package make it ideal for use in many high density point-of-load regulation applications. The LTM4631 data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for working on or modifying the demo circuit DC2147A.
DC2148A
Demonstration circuit 2148A features the LT8709, a negative input synchronous multi-topology DC/DC controller designed for negative input power supplies where the highest input supply voltage is ground. Examples of these circuits include negative buck, negative boost, negative buck-boost and negative inverting. The DC2148A is a negative buck-boost with an operating input voltage range from -4.5V to -38V and an output voltage of -12V, however this demo circuit can be easily reconfigured for other negative input topologies. The maximum output current for DC2148A is 5A, the switching frequency is 400kHz and the maximum efficiency with a -12V input is 91%.

Demonstration circuit 2143A-B is a high efficiency, high density, µModule regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 1.8V, and it can supply 108A maximum load current. The demo board has three LTM4677 µModule® regulators, and the LTM4677 is a dual 18A or single 36A step-down regulator with PMBus power system management. DC2141A
Demonstration circuit 2141A features the LTM4647EY, a 30A high efficiency, switch mode step-down power µModule regulator. The input voltage range is from 6V to 15V. To use DC2141A for input voltage range from 4.7V to 6V, connect INTVCC to SVIN (change R22 from OPT to 0Ω), DRVCC to VIN (change R21 from 0Ω to OPT, R28 from OPT to 0Ω). The output voltage range is 0.6V to 1.8V. Derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, frequency and thermal conditions. The DC2141A offers the TRK/SS pin allowing the user to program output tracking or soft-start period. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE_PLLIN jumper selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications.
