DC2111A-A
Demonstration circuit DC2111A-A features the LTC3774 in a 4-phase, high output current step-down converter with sub-mΩ DCR sensing. This high performance converter provides 1.2V @ 90A with N+1 MOSFET failure protection and operates at a switching frequency of 400kHz over an input voltage range of 10V to 14V. The 5mm x 5mm DrMOS and 0.33µH/0.325mΩ inductor provide high efficiency while supplying 30A per phase.
DC2113A
Demonstration circuit 2113A is a high input voltage, high efficiency synchronous monolithic buck converter featuring the LTC3649. The DC2113A has wide input voltage range from 3.1V up to 60V. The output voltage of the DC2113A can be set as to 3.3V or 5V. However, "USER SELECT" option of DC2113A allows output voltage to be as high as input voltage minus 0.5V, with certain modifications. DC2113A is capable of delivering up to 4A of output current. DC2113A supports three operation modes: Fixed-Frequency modulation, Burst Mode® operation and the user can synchronize it with external clock also. Fixed-Frequency mode of operation maximizes the output current, reduces output voltage ripple, and yields a low noise switching spectrum. Burst Mode operation employs a variable frequency switching algorithm that minimizes the no-load input quiescent current and improves efficiency at light loads.
DC2116A-A
Demonstration circuit 2116A features the LTC4233/LTC4234 10A/20A Guaranteed SOA Hot Swap™ Controllers. The LTC4233 and LTC4234 are ideally suited for compact power distribution control in 2.9V to 15V applications for hot board insertion protection, high side power switching, and electronic circuit breaker functions.
DC2112A
Demonstration circuit 2112A is a high input voltage, high efficiency synchronous monolithic buck converter featuring the LTC3649 in a 28-lead UFD package. The DC2112A has wide input voltage range from 3.1V up to 60V. The output voltage of the DC2112A can be set as to 3.3V or 5V. However, the "USER SELECT" option of DC2112A allows output voltage to be as high as input voltage minus 0.5V, with certain modifications. DC2112A is capable of delivering up to 4A of output current. DC2112A supports three operation modes: Fixed-Frequency modulation and Burst Mode, user can synchronize it with an external clock also. Fixed-Frequency mode of operation maximizes the output current, reduces output voltage ripple, and yields a low noise switching spectrum. Burst Mode employs a variable frequency switching algorithm that minimizes the no-load input quiescent current and improves efficiency at light loads.
DC2110A
Demonstration circuit 2110A is a monolithic step-down converter featuring LT8631. The demo board is designed for 5V output from a 6.5V to 100V input at 400kHz switching frequency. The wide input range makes it suitable for regulating power from a wide variety of sources, including automotive, industrial systems and telecom supplies. The LT8631 is a compact, high efficiency synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator. The power switch, compensation and other necessary circuits are inside of the LT8631 to minimize external components and simplify design.
DC2116A-B
Demonstration circuit 2116A features the LTC4233/LTC4234 10A/20A Guaranteed SOA Hot Swap™ Controllers. The LTC4233 and LTC4234 are ideally suited for compact power distribution control in 2.9V to 15V applications for hot board insertion protection, high side power switching, and electronic circuit breaker functions.
DC2118B
Demonstration circuit 2118B is a combination step-down battery charger and step-up battery backup regulator using the LTC4040 monolithic system power manager. The DC2118B has an input voltage range from 4.8V to 5.5V with overvoltage protection (OVP) to 40V, as limited by the external MOSFET. The input current is monitored to prioritize the load up to the 2.5A threshold before charge current is reduced. Battery Charging As initially configured, DC2118B is programmed for 2A charge current limit when in charge mode. The charge voltage is jumper-selectable in 8 discrete steps from 3.45V to 3.6V for LiFePO4 chemistry or 3.95V to 4.1V for Li-ion chemistry, according to the F2/F1/F0 programming input settings. The charge current limit is adjustable via the PROG pin resistor. End-of-charge status is triggered by current falling below C/8 and indicated by the CHRG LED. The optional NTC input provides temperature fault detection and status indicated by the FAULT LED. Charging can be enabled/disabled with the ENCHG jumper. Battery Backup Following an input power failure, the circuit automatically shifts to battery backup boost mode to regulate the VSYS output rail. The backup mode system output voltage is initially programmed for 5V. The input power failure status is indicated by the PFO LED. If VSYS ever falls below the programmed reset threshold voltage, the RST LED will change states to indicate the need to reset the system and recharge the battery. Backup regulation can be enabled/disabled with the ENBST jumper. For convenience, all LEDs can be disabled with the LED jumper to reduce the quiescent current of the system.
DC2119A
Demonstration circuit 2119A features the LTC3115-2, a high voltage monolithic synchronous buck-boost converter optimized for applications with fast input voltage transients. The DC2119A demo board has two user selectable operating modes: Burst Mode© and Forced Continuous Operation (Fixed Frequency PWM) (JP1). There is also an accurate programmable RUN pin which is used to ENABLE the converter (JP2). The DC2119A operates with a 2.7V to 40V input voltage range. The demo board has been designed with the output voltage set to 5.0V. The LTC3115-2 incorporates a proprietary low noise switching algorithm which optimizes efficiency with input voltages above, below or equal to the output voltage and ensures seamless transitions between operating modes.
DC2111A-B
Demonstration circuit DC2111A-B features the LTC3774 in a 4-phase, high output current step-down converter with sub-mΩ DCR sensing. This high performance, high efficiency converter provides 1.2V @ 120A and operates at a switching frequency of 400kHz over an input voltage range of 10V to 14V. The 5mm x 5mm DrMOS and 0.33µH/0.325mΩ inductor provide high efficiency while supplying 30A per phase.
DC2114A
Demonstration Circuit 2114A features the LT8603 with triple monolithic buck regulators and a boost controller. The demo circuit is designed for 8.0V, 5.0V, 3.3V, and 1.8V outputs from a nominal 12V input. The 4th channel is set as a boost converter and is powered from a wide input range with output VOUT4 regulated at 8V if 3V < VIN < 8.5V. It works as diode pass through if the input is above 8.5V. The two high voltage buck regulators are powered from the boost converter. VOUT1 is regulated at 5V with 1.5A maximum output load current, and VOUT2 is at 3.3V with 2.5A maximum output load current. Thanks to the pre-boost converter, they can ride through a cold crank in automotive applications while providing constant output voltages 5V and 3.3V. The low voltage buck is powered from the VOUT2 (3.3V), and the output VOUT3 is regulated at 1.8V with 1.8A maximum load current.
